President Ram Nath Kovind presents the
Gandhi Peace Prize 2017 to Ekal Abhiyan Trust.
Gramothan Resource Centres
GRCs, developed at the heart of remote villages, are at the core of EGF's approach and act as training cum resource centres for the beneficiaries. An Ideal GRC is common for 100 villages i.e. 2000 families.
Skill Development Centres
The skill development model has been introduced to produce employment, empowerment and entrepreneurship development at village or community level to the unemployed youths and their overall socio-economic development. Duration of each training in SDC is 3 Months
Integrated Village Development
The IVD model focuses on a cluster of 30 villages (1 Sanch) collectively focusing on a wide range of activities for youth, women and farmers.
Ekal on Wheel
Ekal started “Ekal On Wheels”- Mobile Computer Vans to impart Digital education at the door step of the rural & tribal students. An EOW fitted with 9 Laptops visits 3 villages a day with two hours session for every class. EOW is powered with solar panels, cover about 36 villages in a year and train about 600 students. Curriculum is registered with Spoken Tutorial Project of IIT to make trainees eligible for various employment opportunities. It won the Digital Trailblazers award at Digital India Conclave 2016.
At Gramothan Vidhaalya (Village School), We provide holistic education to children.
Ekal Gramothan Utpad Foundation
EGUF (Ekal Gramothan Utpad Foundation) is a section 8, FSSAI registered company which was formed to connect rural and tribal producers to urban consumers. GRCs plays a crucial role in this. These centers skills, trains and incubates potential micro-entrepreneurs. EGUF ensures that these micro-entrepreneurs use best practices and have access to latest technology. EGUF connects these micro-entrepreneurs with market. EGUF is conceptualizing Ekal Mart and Ekal Kart to scale production and the the supply chain.
Women Empowerment Centres
In WEC, Tailoring training is provided for women micro-entrepreneurs. Each centre has 10 stitching machines and 2 Embroidery machines. At WEC, 80-120 females are being trained per year.
Computer Training Lab
Explicating computers to the rural youth and bridging the digital gap. Fundamental and advanced computer training for 3 months is provided. Some of the EOW's trainees also join its advanced computer course.
